Wiki service

All structural units of the OVGU have the option of requesting a Wiki on the central web server. The URZ offers the system DokuWiki for this purpose. It has numerous features:

  • Access control for every single page or page area
  • Choice between local and central login
  • Version management
  • Editor with many functions
  • easy wiki syntax

The wikis on the server are organized as a wiki farm. There is a master wiki that contains the functionality, settings and core modules. Each individual Wiki uses these elements and then has its own configuration file and content. Such a structure facilitates the administration work and offers various usage scenarios.
